Alexander Novak, the Minister of Energy of the Russian Federation had a meeting with Jacques de Boisséson, General Director of Total E&P Russie

Moscow, February 05. – Alexander Novak, the Minister of Energy of the Russian Federation had a meeting with Jacques de Boisséson, General Director of Total E&P Russie (the Russian subsidiary of the French Total Group).
Alexander Novak stressed the relevance of cooperation with the Group: "For many years Total S.A. has been our reliable partner. "The way the group is working actively implementing projects in Russia sets an example of high professionalism and absolute mutual understanding."
"Our course towards Russia remains unchanged, to follow in the steps of Christophe de Margerie. All difficulties we are now facing are but temporary; it makes no sense to turn back in the middle of the ford", – Jacques de Boisséson in his turn mentioned.
During the meeting the parties discussed the progress of the current projects with Total's participation in Russia, as well as promising lines of cooperation. In particular, the CEO of the Group's Russian subsidiary told the Minister about the successful implementation of Yamal LNG project, where the work is progressing in line with the schedule. According to Jacques de Boisséson, construction of the facilities is already 20-25% complete (NOVATEK and Total expecting to launch the project in 2017), the airport has been put into operation. Besides, the representative of the French Group announced the forthcoming start-up of Termokarstovoye gas condensate field, Total and NOVATEK's joint venture, to take place in April.
The Minister and Total's Representative also discussed the prospects of Kharyaga PSA, specifically, a way forward to resolve the associated gas disposal issue. At the moment, Total E&P Russie is busy assessing the costs already incurred for APG disposal, and transferring all project-related subcontracts to the Operator, – Jacques de Boisséson informed. Alexander Novak expressed his confidence that Total would successfully cope with the mission set and congratulated his French colleague on the occasion of 15 years anniversary of production in the Kharyaga field.
